Approximately 133 million U.S. adults -- 66 percent of the adult population, have access to the Internet either at work or home, according to Mediamark. Of those 133 million, 101 million reported using the Internet in the past 30 days.
This means that 50 percent of U.S. adults, who total 201.7 million, used the Internet in the past 30 days. Ninety million U.S. adults reported using at least one online service (such as America Online, CompuServe, MSN and Prodigy) in the last 30 days.

Internet Ad Revenue Will Quadruple to more than 16.5 Billion by 2005.
A Jupiter Communications, report sees ad revenue from Web campaigns rising from 3.5 billion in 1999. Marketers plan to raise Internet ad spending more than any other medium. About 73% of those surveyed said they will raise spending in the next 12 months. That means ad clutter for users. In 2005, users will see 950 ads everyday they go online, compared to 440 in 1999.
"Eighty percent of U.S. small businesses have at least one computer on site used for business purposes, and in some sectors computer usage has almost reached saturation, according to Dun & Bradstreet's 20th Annual Small Business Survey."
