Someone has to download a DLL plug-in file in order to be able to get to your website via the address bar of Internet Explorer by typing in a keyword. This may seam attractive to some business people, but it is a total scam. Some of these companies claim to have millions of users who have this plug-in of theirs. The reality of the size of their audience is far from what they say it is. The company with the largest audience has under 1.5 million people who have this plug-in. That is about or less then 1% of the amount of internet users in the United States. I wouldn't risk my money on a gamble like that. Would you?
Any Company who says that they will guarantee you in the top 3 positions on Yahoo and a few other Search Engines for a fee. The fact is that you end up in the sponsored matches of the Search Results. The sponsored matches are done by overture.com and can be done by you or anyone. You do not have to pay someone to set that up for you. You can do it yourself. You bid on the terms that you want to rank on and you pay that bid amount whenever someone clicks on that link and ends up on your Web Site.

This can be done in some instances, but it is a million to one due to the ever changing algorithms of all the Search Engines out there. If someone says top 5, 10 or 20, they are probably legitimate.
